Activity # 1
Click on the keyboarding exercise below to practice using the shift key to type the @ symbol and parentheses. Complete this exercise two times.
This week we will be moving on from just the homerow keys. Students will begin to learn how to "touch type." This requires the students to keep their fingers on the homerow, but move a designated finger to type a letter. With more practice, students will pick up speed and accuracy while typing.
Practice makes perfect
Look below each game to find out what level you should play each game on.
Keyboarding Warm Up
IN TECHNOLOGY, THE STUDENTS ARE RECEIVING THEIR GOOGLE APPS ACCOUNTS (visit our home page for more details). IN BETWEEN LEARNING EVERYTHING THEY WILL BE DOING WITH THESE ACCOUNTS, THE STUDENTS ARE GOING TO BRUSH UP ON PROPER TYPING SKILLS.
When you open each lesson, wait for the ad to finish then click start. Do not change the display format. Complete the exercise until **END** appears. Once you finish it will bring up a new window to tell you which keys you missed.
